John Bowe is a nationally recognized character, a household name - certainly in motoring circles; he has a very high profile, possesses a warm and friendly nature and endeared himself from race fans to captains of Australian industry. As a driver he has amassed a record that will stand him in the record Australian Motorsport record books forever.

For 49 seasons John Bowe’s been a competitive racer – earning a reputation as one of the very best and most accomplished drivers every seen in Australian motorsport. V8 Supercars was his domain for 22 seasons – the toughest form of motorsport in Australia and abroad. He is the only driver to win seven (9) National Championships across four (4) categories. John Bowe is an icon in Australia motorsport terms and is the race round record holder with 225 V8SC race round starts.

In recent times John has added a number of significant career milestones, that of 1178 race starts, 199 fastest (race) laps and currently has 248 career race wins to his name with a staggering 536 career podiums. He’s the record holder of most race wins, most podiums/fastest lap records – by a driver in Australian circuit racing.

Outside of racing, John has represented beyond blue – the ‘National Depression Initiative’ and the Black Dog Research Institute. John has shared his personal experiences/journey to help others. He is committed to sharing his story and promotes the great work undertaken by the mental health experts do in the community.
