In the 1970s, Graeme Alford was one of the country’s most successful and high flying barristers…..until he lost his way due to alcohol dependency and ended up in jail….not once, but on 3 separate occasions.

His journey back into society started in a scrap metal yard and ended in the Royal Suite at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne with Graeme and his wife Carol sitting opposite Nelson Mandela (Time Magazine’s Man of the 20th Century) sharing a cup of tea.

He is the author of the best selling book Never Give Up and currently works with people who, while sill functioning, need to deal with substance abuse issues including alcohol, drugs prescription medication and gambling.
