Sam grew up in country New South Wales and made the move to Victoria at 16 to chase the professional sporting dream. He lived his passion with time at the AIS, travelling and living overseas for more than 12 years and playing a game he loved.

He achieved the ranking of world number 53, played Davis Cup for Australia and represented his country at Olympic Games.

Sam then faced the ‘what next?’ Retirement has given him the opportunity to reflect on his career to date.
